Content Section:

What content can be submitted?

Content postings are organized by “Products” or “Services” segment.
The Products segment is the repository for all regular and auction listings in the offered or wanted directory.
The Services segment is dedicated to user profile postings in the offered or wanted directory.

All information, whether publicly posted or privately transmitted, is the sole responsibility of the person from whom such content originated.  See “User Conduct” Terms of Service, section 6.

Can anyone submit content?

Basically anyone can submit a profile or product listing except those under the age of 13 who need parental or guardian approval to register as a User or Buyer/Seller.  See “Your Registration Obligations” Terms of Service, section 3.

How to submit and post content?

Content is entered in two different ways and recorded in an “Offered” or a “Wanted” directory.

  1. User profiles: These are submitted by completing the user registration form divided in personal/individual and professional/business profile submissions. Either profile registration requires the completion of general requirements, i.e., basic information, one category entry, entry runtime, payment details, and optional additional category and/or page placement selection.
Users can submit either a personal user or a professional user profile:
    1. The entry of a personal user profile, in addition to general requirements, allows for the attachment of one image and a description of maximum 1,000 characters.
    2. The entry of a professional user profile, in addition to general requirements, allows for up to 10 image attachments and a 4,000 character long profile description.

Click here to enter the User registration process.

  2. Product listing entries are organized by buy, rent, or sell type, whichever is selected at item submission. Entries are recorded in the predefined multilevel category directories according to the category class selected. Product listings can be submitted as regular items or auction items. Each listing allows the entry of a 36-character title and a 300-character item description, plus up to 10 images and 4,000 characters of additional text, as needed.

Click here to enter the New Item registration process.

What is a regular item and what is an auction item?

A regular item is a single product or a group of identical products listed at a fixed price, often non-negotiable. However, offers can be made on the listing which may result in a rejection, counter or acceptance notice from Meet Market Makers.

An auction item is a single product or a group of products offered for sale at a starting price available for bidding during a fixed time period. At the end of the time period, the product goes to the highest bidder who then automatically enters into a legal binding contract with Meet Market Makers.

What differentiates a personal profile from a professional profile?

A personal profile relates to entries made by a private individual or independent operator without any formal legal corporate stature.

A professional profile concerns entries made by for profit or non-profit legal corporate entities, i.e. LLCs, S corporations, C corporations, and non-profit organizations.

How to improve listing visibility?

Improved listing visibility can be realized by placing a profile entry in more than one category (maximum 4 additional category entries are allowed), or by selecting a higher page ranking order, thereby moving a profile ahead of regular listings without ranking.

Page ranking has two options available to choose from:

Access Section:

Is login required?

No login is required to access the site and browse the content listing in the products or services segments.

Is access to the site open to everyone?

Yes, access is available to everyone, except for the Xtraordinary Products’ category which is only accessible to users of the legal age of majority, between 18 and 21, in accordance with the laws and statutes applicable in the registered user’s country or state of residence.  Age of majority should not be confused with the age of license, which pertains solely to the acquisition of control over one’s person, decisions and actions, and the correlative termination of the legal authority and responsibility of the parents/guardians over the child’s person and affairs generally.

Many ages of license are correlated to the age of majority, but they are nonetheless legally distinct concepts.  One need not have attained the age of majority to have permission to exercise certain rights and responsibilities.  Some ages of license are actually higher than the age of majority.  For example, the age of license to purchase alcoholic beverages is 21 in all U.S. states (National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984).

Please note that the strictest age screening shall apply to prevent and deny unauthorized access to the aforesaid categories.

Are all Product listings accessible?

No, Adult Product listings are ONLY accessible to registered users age 18 or older.

LEGAL NOTICE: Sex toys are perfectly healthy and safe. However, in most United States it is illegal for teens under the age of 18 to buy sex toys.In some states, it is illegal to buy sex toys if you are under the age of 21.  In others it is illegal to buy sex toys at any age.  Pornographic materials are subject to the same restrictions and are not available to persons under the age of 18.

What are the “Make Offer” process options?

After the “Make Offer” is submitted, the Seller has the option to reject, counter, or accept the offer.  Any Seller’s option choice is delivered directly to Meet Market Makers for Buyer notification.  The Buyer can take the following actions.

When is a transaction considered closed?

A transaction is considered closed when the Buyer acknowledges delivery and transaction acceptance confirmation to Us by email before or immediately after the review period ends.

What is a review period?

A review period applies to all contractual item purchases and physical or nonphysical deliveries between Us, Seller and Buyer.

When does a review period begin?

Upon delivery receipt of the acquired item, the Buyer has two (2) business days to inspect the product quality and authenticity and/or perform a due diligence check to validate the Seller’s online representation(s) and disclosure(s) are true.  At the end of the review period the Buyer shall accept or reject the transaction and notify Us by email immediately.

How is a fixed asset inspected?

When the acquired item is a fixed or semi-fixed asset with no or very limited mobility, the Buyer or its appointed expert shall inspect the asset onsite within five (5) business days from the purchase contract entry date.  On or before the end of the review period, the Buyer shall accept or reject the transaction and notify Us of this action promptly by email.

What happens after transaction acceptance?

Receipt of Buyer’s transaction acceptance email notice is considered an unconditional approval and authorization for Us to release Buyer’s transaction amount held on deposit for Buyer.

What happens in the case of none deliver?

In the case of none delivery, the contract entered into between Us and Seller becomes null and void automatically.

What happens when the Seller made misrepresentations?

If for any reason the Seller is found to have misrepresented the actual condition, origin, authenticity, or written claim, the contract entered into between Us and Seller becomes null and void automatically.

What happens when the transaction is rejected?

When the goods arrive damaged or while inspected it is found that the online listing statements misrepresent the actual condition, origin, authenticity, or written claim, the contract entered into with Seller or Buyer becomes null and void automatically.

In all other cases, Meet Market Makers shall suspend any funds repayment to Buyer until a mutually acceptable resolution is reached and confirmed by email.  See Terms of Service, section 25. Payment Service Terms and Conditions, subsection “Disputes between Meet Market Makers, Sellers or Buyers”.

Payment Section:

When is a user listing fee due?

A user listing fee is due on the first day after the FREE listing period expires, and thereafter always on the subsequent next listing expiration date.
Excluded from the free listing period are entries made in the Job Category.

How do I pay the user listing fee?

The user listing fee is paid by charging the credit card or debit card account entered during user listing registration.

Is a product listing entry subject to insertion fees?

No, upfront insertion fees are not applicable to any product listing entries.

Do I pay commission fees on transactions?

Yes, commission fees apply to regular item transactions and auction item transactions.

Why are payments executed through deposit account?Back to FAQs list

The main reason the payments are executed through a deposit account is to avoid any possible conflict(s) between the time of purchase contract, delivery, inspection, and transaction acceptance.  The deposit account service holds buyers harmless against any potential wrongdoing, neglect, or undisclosed discrepancies which may surface while inspecting the quantity, quality, or authenticity of the underlying transaction and noticeable inconsistencies in the online representation(s) and disclosure(s).  Without this protection, the recourse for returns and payment refunds is virtually impossible.

See “Payment Service Terms and Conditions” Terms of Service, section 25.

Are there costs associated with deposit holdings?

Back to FAQs list

No, there are absolutely no costs or hidden fees associated with deposit holdings.
